Safety

Our Approach

As an employer, it is our belief that each of our employees deserve to go home safely at the end of each working day.  Because of this, we accept responsibility for the leadership of a safety program, its effectiveness, continuous improvement, and the task of providing the safeguards to ensure safe working conditions.

Plastering is an inherently risky trade, but it is our responsibility to establish and maintain a safe work environment for our employees.  This is done by conducting daily safety inspections to identify and correct unsafe working conditions or practices.  All employees are trained in good safety and health practices during the new hire process.  As an employer, we also make sure to continuously promote and recognize safety consciousness and responsibility.

The Craftsman Difference

Accomplishing our safety goals is a team effort, but in order to ensure that we are surpassing the industry standard we have a full time Director of Safety as part of our staff.  It is their job to keep all of our foremen CPR and first aid certified, as well as up to date on their OSHA 10-hour training.  Conducting daily safety inspections and weekly tailgate meetings is only part of the way that we keep safety as a top priority for our employees.  The effectiveness of this extra attention to safety has earned our team numerous Cal/OSHA Golden Gate Awards.
